Rotary Quiz
Our annual quiz returned this year for the first time since Covid. Just over £1800 was raised for two great causes ShelterBox and the Feed Havant project.
Feed Havant
Feed Havant is a Havant Rotary Club Project set up to help the Food Banks with the excellent job they are doing to help people in a time of crisis.
Easter Egg Campaign
Rotary Havant have donated 54 Easter Eggs to local charities, schools and Pubs to enable them to raise funds for the charity of their choice
Christmas Activities
Havant Rotary Christmas sleigh toured our local area and was supported by other collection at Tesco Havant and Havant town centre, together we raised £10,193
Young Chef
Budding chefs as young as thirteen displayed their talents to an impressed [audience and judging panel] in the first round of the Rotary Young Chef Competition
Youth Speaks
Youth Speaks challenge young people’s public speaking abilities. In teams of three, participants present arguments and points of discussion, before taking questions from the judging panel.
ShelterBox
This year we have purchased four Shelterboxes. They provide shelter, essential items and technical assistance to help vulnerable people recover and rebuild their homes and after disaster anywhere in the world.
Global Sight Solutions
Global Sight Solutions originally established by a Rotary Club based in Guildford has received our support. It’s aim is simple: It strives to make blindness history. Its main focus is the setting up of Specialist Eye Hospitals in areas of need.
Lend with Care
Our Club recently supported the amazing Lendwithcare organisation.It’s such a simple idea: Our Club ‘lends’ funds to the organisation and 100% of everything we lend goes to the entrepreneurs we choose to support.
Marys Meals
We have supported the Mary’s Meals Charity for many years. It is a registered charity which sets up school feeding programmes in some of the world’s poorest communities, where hunger and poverty prevent children from gaining an education
Kids Out on The Water
Rotary Kids Out on the water took 71 children from special need schools out on the water in Chichester Harbour in 25 private yachts on the 19th May.
Home Start Book Donation
We were delighted to be able to donate books to Home Start in Leigh Park. The books can either be given to children, loaned or used on their out reach programme.
Club Foot India (UK)
Havant Rotary donated £500 to Club Foot India (UK), which paid for three children to have a course of treatment that will change their lives forever. Treatment costs about £150 per child.
Reading Project
We donated books to schools to help provide children have better access to reading.
The aim of the project is to provide reading books for 4-11 year olds that can be kept by pupils, borrowed, enjoyed and changed for another.
Young Carers
We have worked to support Young Carers in our area for several years.
Young Carers do a wonderful job supporting their families and we try and do something for them.
