Youth Speaks
Youth Speaks Competition Success for Crookhorn College.
The Club round of the Youth Speaks in Debate resulted in a morning of fun and competition at Park Community School Lecture Theatre(by kind permission of Chris Anders) on Wed 11th Jan.
Youth Speaks challenge young people’s public speaking abilities.
Participants can select a topic which is important to them, giving them an opportunity to delve deep into research, formulate ideas and build confidence.
The standard of debate was as usual very high and the winning of both Intermediate and Senior categories by Crookhorn College were hard fought victories. Four Schools took part and the three great judges, Coleen Jackson, Rona Doyle and Pam Richardson were impressed by the high standards and breadth of subjects discussed.
We genuinely believe and hope that all of the teams will have benefited from the process. It takes skill bravery and courage, so congratulations to everyone who took part. and to our winners.
