Young Carers Christmas Activities

For the last seven years, Havant Rotary have supported Havant Young Carers group in a variety of activities, ranging from trip to the Hayling pantomime, Beachlands funfair, buffet and games nights, and the purchase of Wi-Fi speakers.

This year in consultation with their leaders a number of wreath making kits were purchased, allowing the Young Carers to design and make their own family wreath. In addition the rotary purchased all the food for the two age group parties.

Both activities were enjoyed by all Carers and the photographs are a small illustration of the fun that was had on those nights.

Havant Rotary will continue to support the Young carers all of whom have challenges over and above the norm and deserve recognition and respect for the incredible work they do to help their families.

It was good to see these young people who do such a great job for their families having so much fun.

Lend with Care

Our Club recently supported the amazing Lendwithcare organisation.It’s such a simple idea: Our Club ‘lends’ funds to the organisation and 100% of everything we lend goes to the entrepreneurs we choose to support.

Marys Meals

We have supported the Mary’s Meals Charity for many years. It is a registered charity which sets up school feeding programmes in some of the world’s poorest communities, where hunger and poverty prevent children from gaining an education

Kids Out on The Water

Rotary Kids Out on the water took 71 children from special need schools out on the water in Chichester Harbour in 25 private yachts on the 19th May.

Home Start Book Donation

We were delighted to be able to donate books to Home Start in Leigh Park. The books can either be given to children, loaned or used on their out reach programme.
